Tori had an outstanding season and based on rankings and her performances at the British Championships gained her first taste of international competition. She was selected to represent Great Britain on the Mare Nostrum swimming series. The series comprised of three meets (Canet, Barcelona, Monaco), Tori was selected for the meet in Canet, France. She was part of a group of swimmers who joined the Great Britain Squad destined for the World Championship in July. The meet took place on the 16/17th June. Tori raced in the 100/200Fly, 100Free and the 200IM. She went head to head with the best swimmers in the world including Olympic champion Katinka Hosszu in the 200 IM heat. Tori was placed 6th in the B final. Racing outdoors in the sun and the wind is difficult for any swimmer so it was extremely promising for Tori to be racing so fast in these conditions.
